The art of winemaking meets the beauty of nature in the Napa Valley. Great wines begin in the vineyard, and we are honored to be working with some of Napa Valley's most cherished vineyards and iconic growers. Each wine and vintage have their own personality - our wines exhibit a sense of place and the influence of the vintage.
While our portfolio is broad, our production is small at less than 1,000 cases each vintage.
Named for the Persian love story of Layla and Majnun, who fell madly in love, but Layla's father had promised her to another. For the rest of his life, Majnun was haunted by his love of the raven-haired seductress, who he could never have.
Our Layla wine is a dark seductress that will intoxicate your senses and leave you wanting more.
One of Napa Valley's elite cabernet vineyards, we have been privileged to produce a wine from it since 2004. The vineyard sits about six miles up off the valley floor in the eastern Vaca range. Our block is located in the Pritchard Hill Region of the vineyard.
Our vineyard block typically shows dark black and red fruit and you might even detect a hint of Asian 5-Spice in the nose.
From an iconic vineyard located on the valley floor in Rutherford. We don't use the grower or vineyard name on this one as we would have to charge a lot more for it. We can tell you its peer group charges 2 to 3 times for their wines coming from neighboring vineyard blocks.
A beautiful representation of Rutherford Cab with its balanced and polished style, dark red cherry fruit, cassis and hints of Rutherford dust.
Located at the end of Redwood Road, this steeply sloping vineyard is our source for our Mt. Veeder cabernet sauvignon.
The wine is more old world in style than our other cabernet sauvignon wines, reminiscent of a young bordeaux wine.
It shows the signature of Mt. Veeder with its lush blue and black fruit notes, earthiness and hints of subtle spice.
Named for the coordinates of our east coast residence. Our "74-41" cabernet is a wine club selection with limited distribution into the NJ market.
This 100% cabernet sauvignon wine comes from mountain and valley floor vineyards. We only produced this wine in vintages where we have a little extra fruit.
Angel Acres Vineyard is located in the Coombsville AVA located in the southeast portion of the valley.
While the wine has balance and structure, it is more fruit forward and juicy in style than our other cabernet wines and a bit more approachable in it's youth.
Located on Kruezer Lane in the Coombsville AVA, this is a beautiful cabernet franc in a richer, fuller style - a perfect fit with our portfolio.
Black cherries with hints of subtle spice. Medium to full-bodied and softly tannic on the finish.
Our first release was the 2021 vintage.
Our malbec fruit comes from the estate vineyard of one of Napa Valley's most iconic growers. The vineyard is located in the northern portion of the Rutherford Bench.
This is a big wine - the nose shows blueberry pie and preserved plums with wafts of cinnamon.
The palate is full with round, red, opulent fruit, finishing with hints of spice and dusty tannins.
Owned by one of Napa Valley's most iconic growers, Oak Knoll provides the perfect growing conditions for Merlot with it's gentle cooling breezes and fertile soils.
The wine shows an expressive nose with baked plums, black cherry, hints of spice, and dried roses.
The full palate offers an array of dark red berry fruit, earth and spice with soft, dusty tannins. A cab drinker's merlot.
While Midnite Rider is all Napa Valley, it's our take on a right bank wine. The wine is merlot-based with cabernet sauvignon, malbec and cabernet franc.
Releasing in 2025 - join our Wine Club and be the first to "catch the Midnite Rider".
Our petite sirah offering is released under our Cooper's Cuvee brand of wines that honor our Labrador retrievers - past and present. Our Blackpaw petite sirah comes from Berry Vineyard located in Calistoga.
The nose shows meaty black and blue fruits, pepper, violets and spice. Inky and voluptuous but not overdone - our petite sirah style is more refined allowing you to consume this one a bit earlier than most.
Philary Vineyard is located on the steep westerly facing slopes of Atlas Peak. Owned by Phil and Hilary Brodey, who meticulously farm and maintain this special vineyard. We eek out a ton of fruit each vintage and every drop is liquid gold.
A classic cooler climate syrah profile of earth, spice, meatiness with refined but ample tannins, and a dusty long-lasting finish.
Old World inspired sauvignon blanc and chardonnay and no wimpy rose'
Dalla Gasperina Vineyard is located at the northern end of Rutherford.
Our sauvignon blanc is old world, French-inspired. The wine has a rounded palate of soft citrus notes, mango, papaya and lemon curd, and followed by hints of minerality on the long finish. The wine is aged in neutral French oak and stirred on the lees - this provides texture to the wine and a full-bodied style.
Located in the southern end of the Sonoma Coast AVA, this vineyard is marine-influenced - the first to receive the evening fog and the last to see it retreat.
Our style is Burgundian-inspired. The palate is rich with tiers of apple, honeydew and pears. The wine goes through malolactic fermentation which results in a lush mid-mouth but is not overtly buttery.
The 2023 vintage is a rose' wine produced from cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, and merlot. It was produced using the saignee' method at harvest, which results in a bigger, bolder and darker rose' style of wine that fits perfectly with our portfolio.
While this wine reminds us of "summer in a glass", you'll drink this one year-round.
